Cylindrical Lenses
It is an optical lens with a curve in one direction with both defocusing and focusing behaviors for the reflection and transmission of light. The focal length and its dioptric power are part of its best features compared to ordinary lenses. Here at GLAShern, different lenses are available to meet your desired custom designs and sizes. In our production, you can choose among our Aspherical, Anamorphic, Lenticular, Toric, Convex, Fresnel, and other optical lenses.

RAW MATERIALS SUPPLY
Plano-Convex Lens
It is the best choice of cylindrical lenses for a more focused parallel of light going to a single point, as it can collect and collimate light rays. Also, this lens can minimize spherical aberrations.
Achromatic Lens
It is an ideal cylindrical lens for correcting colors and reducing spherical, chromatic, and coma aberrations. Also, it is considered a hybrid cylinder lens that can provide the proper color corrections needed for your applications.
Rod Lenses
It has a more polished surface compared to other cylindrical lenses used for applications in laser focusing or changing beam shapes, and it can irradiate with elongated lines over a distance.
Plano-Concave Lenses
It is another optical lens with a flat surface and a concave surface ideal for light projections and beam expansions. Also, it has a negative focal length perfect to be part of optical systems.
We Offer Custom Cylindrical Lenses Service
Custom Surface Coatings and others
Regarding our Cylindrical Lenses, we offer a wide range of choices to expand your decisions, starting from the materials required and the sizes our clients prefer. Our Plano-Convex and Plano-Concave Cylindrical Lenses can be made of BaF2, BK7, CaF2, MgF2, or ZnSe, in both rectangular and circular dimensions. Also, we can apply the uncoated options, but we also have coatings using MgF2 Single Layer, Broad Band, and V-Type AR Coating.
Aside from the processes, our products are guaranteed to have a dimension tolerance of ±30 μm or even ±10 μm and surface irregularity of λ/4 or λ/8. We can manufacture 20-10 surface roughness and 3 to 1 Arcmin centration.
More than 95% of customers praise our products and over 90% of our customers return to choose and recommend GLAShern glass over time.
Explore Our Cylindrical Lenses Are Used For
The application of cylindrical lenses is very beneficial to most industries because of their capability to obtain beam focus in elliptical formations. Aspherical lenses are standard here, and they can cause astigmatism of a laser beam and can collimate the outputs from a laser. Cylindrical lenses are usually present in laser diode applications, scanning techniques, optical measurement and metrology, and other optical systems.
